As of September 5, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, the durum harvest was 49% complete, compared to 24% last year and compared to the five year average of 69%. As of September 3, the average test weight increased, 60.4 lb/bu (78.7 kg/hl) compared to 59.7 (77.8 kg/hl) reported last week. The average dockage was 0.9%, the average wheat protein content was 13.0%, and the average falling number remained high at 440 seconds. The average grade was 1 HAD.
