Durum
As of September 27, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, durum harvest was 84 percent complete, compared to 96 percent last year, and the five-year average of 92 percent. As of October 2, the average test weight was 61.7 lb/bu (80.3 kg/hl), average dockage 1.2% and the average grade 1 HAD. The average wheat protein content was 13.4% down slightly from last week's 13.6%. The average falling number was 413 sec, down just slightly from last week's 419 sec and still indicating a sound crop.
