The HRS harvest continues with approximately 49% of the survey samples collected and analyzed, compared to 10% at the same time last year.  Spring wheat harvest is wrapping up in South Dakota and Minnesota.  Average protein content remains 14.7%, slightly below last year's final average of 14.8%.  Test weight average is 61.0 lb/bu (80.2 kg/hl) compared to the final average of 60.1 lb/bu (79.1 kg/hl) for last year.  Falling number average is well over 400 seconds indicating sound wheat.  Average vitreous kernel content is 77% DHV with the current average grade of 1 DNS.
