Harvest Report - July 9, 2010
HRW
After good weather conditions last week which allowed HRW harvest to move at a rapid pace through Kansas and southeast Colorado, this week has been a much different story. Rain has shutdown almost all cutting in east central through northeast Colorado extending into western Nebraska. Harvest is now 99% complete in Texas and Oklahoma with Kansas not far behind at 90% complete. Far southeast Colorado is 95% complete, but is only 25% complete in east central Colorado and has yet to get fully started in northeastern Colorado.

Wheat protein continues to climb, now at 11.9% as an overall average. However, as reported in past updates, protein continues to be extremely variable between many individual locations. There were relatively minor changes in all other grade and non-grade factors.
