As of August 29, according to the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service Office, the durum harvest was 43% complete, compared to 8% complete last year, and compared to the five year average of 53% complete. As of September 3, the average test weight declined, 59.7 lb/bu (77.8 kg/hl) compared to 60.6 lb/bu (78.9 kg/hl) reported last week. The average dockage was 1.0%, the average wheat protein content was 12.7%, and the average falling number remained high at 417 seconds. The average grade was 2 HAD.
