Harvest Report - July 27, 2007
SW
The 2007 Pacific Northwest wheat harvest is at a similar pace in Idaho and Washington as last year, and more than twice as fast in Oregon compared to last year. The first week’s SW samples mainly consist of 48% from north central and northeastern Oregon and 33% from north central Washington. This week’s limited number of sample averages indicated good test weight at 60.0 lb/bu (78.9 kg/hl), low moisture content at 9.4%, good protein at 10.5%, and sound falling number value at 309 seconds. Favorable weather conditions are pushing this year’s wheat harvest in the Pacific Northwest at a rapid pace.
