Harvest Report - June 12, 2009
SRW
Soft Red winter harvest continues to be hampered by rain and wet fields. Southern Arkansas has been completed and samples collection has started in central and northern Arkansas. In North Carolina, sample collection is just about completed in the southeast, but the weather is slowing progress in the northeast. Reports from Virginia indicate a delay in harvesting until later this month. Missouri and Kentucky sample collectors are hoping to begin within the next week, while Illinois operators were hoping to begin by the end of the month.

Southern Arkansas data are indicating a decrease in test weight and 1000 kernel weight averages compared to last year, with an equal average protein. The falling number average is down 70 seconds from the 2008 average.
