Harvest Report - May 21, 2009
SRW
As of last week 98% of the SRW crop in North Carolina was headed which is equal to the five-year average. Last week there was heavy rain and some flooding throughout the state and it is considered to be drought free for the first time in two years.

In Arkansas the crop has completed heading but also had rains and wet conditions last week.

Sample collection is anticipated to begin in these states about June 1, which is just slightly later than previous years.
