|Sampling is continuing in Arkansas with almost all of the early samples from Area 1 collected. Data should be available next week. The central part of the state should begin harvesting this weekend.|
North Carolina has begun harvesting in the southern portion of the state. Both states are reporting yields in the 40-50+ bushels per acre range so far. The temperatures have been close to or above 90 degrees in both states this week, and they expect the same for the next several days, so harvesting should progress quickly.
It appears that harvesting in Missouri and Illinois will not begin until June 16 and about a week later in Indiana and Kentucky
