Joint Venture in Wheat Research

Arcadia Biosciences, Inc. has announced that seed company Vilmorin has purchased an equity position in Arcadia.� In parallel, Arcadia has purchased a 35% ownership position in Limagrain Cereal Seeds LLC (LCS), a newly formed company that provides the platform for wheat development in the United States. Under the new agreements, Vilmorin is granted worldwide privileged rights to technologies developed by Arcadia for wheat.

SD Grower Elected Secretary-Treasurer

The USW board elected wheat grower Darrell Davis, Ipswich, SD, as Secretary-Treasurer at its winter board meeting Jan. 24, 2010. The board elected Davis in a slate including Don Schieber, Ponca City, OK, Randy Suess, Colfax, WA, and Janice Mattson of Chester, MT. New USW officers begin one-year terms in July
